Drinking lots of water before an important meeting, exam or during work is a really good idea to improve your concentration. Your office should provide you with clean and fresh water. If this is not the case, suggest getting a water cooler to your manager or boss.
Alcohol is known to cause dehydration which often gives the symptoms of a hangover. To help reduce the effects of your alcohol consumption the morning after, try to drink a glass of water in between alcoholic drinks.
Improve your physical performance when exercising
When exercising your body tries to regulate its temperature by sweating. It is a well known fact that when you sweat you lose some of the water in your body. Losing even as little as 2% of your body water can really affect your physical performance. It is important to stay hydrated when exercising or working out to make sure your body is able to perform at its best.
